I read about cold-brewing coffee a while ago, but only recently tried it. I put the usual amount of coarse grounds in my French press and added cold tap water. I let it sit on the counter all evening, then put it in the fridge overnight. The next afternoon, I pushed the French press down and tasted it straight. It's less bitter than iced hot-brewed coffee, and the flavor is a little more mild, but not at all wimpy.
I usually drink hot coffee black, but I prefer a little milk and sugar in iced coffee, and so I added some.
